About

Andrew is Head of Insolvency at Kitsons and he acts for Insolvency office holders across the South West, the South East and beyond. He advises companies, partnerships and individuals who find themselves dealing with an insolvency situation. With an extensive network of Insolvency and turn-around experts, he will know the right person for your situation and will work towards achieving your aims.

With a strong background in commercial and regulatory litigation, Andrew has considerable experience in using a range of procedural tactics and rules in order to achieve a positive outcome for his clients. He has obtained a freezing and disclosure order in Jersey within 12 hours of identifying assets of £3 million; section 366 orders against third parties for documents required in support of proceedings in a foreign jurisdiction; private examinations of Bankrupts subjected to a foreign bankruptcy order; obtained Contempt Orders against Bankrupts for failure to comply with previous Court Orders; actions against off-shore trusts in order to recover assets for the bankruptcy estate; and successfully defended a foreign third party action to prevent disclosure of documents based on Article 8 ECHR.

Andrew also heads up Kitsons' Debt Recovery team who are focused on bringing in those aged and bad debts that have an impact on time and cash flow. The team can work in various ways with you and your debtors to realise the aged debt, and they are always happy to have an initial discussion with you to discuss how the team can assist with improving your cash flow.

Outside of Kitsons, Andrew is the diary manager for his two small(ish) children and spends his non-working hours trying to keep up with them. He also has an ongoing love/hate relationship with his family cat, and consequently recognises his true position in the family household!

"Why use me? I have considerable experience in guiding companies and individuals through difficult situations. My core aim is to understand my client’s needs and objectives and to provide commercial but pragmatic advice for companies, individuals, creditors and debtors. Advice is one thing, getting the right result for the client and achieving their objectives is another. Whether I am investigating, tracing and realising assets, working with insolvency practitioners and/or turn-around specialists to restructure a company as a going concern, my goal is the best possible outcome for my client."
