Kitsons make a splash with charity swim

At the beginning of this month Kitsons got together a team from their Exeter office to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society charity, by taking part in a memory mile swim.

Abby Coley, a Legal Assistant at Kitsons, and swim event organiser said: “Some of the staff here have a personal attachment to this amazing charity, so it was very important to us and we wanted to raise as much money as we possibly could! I personally lost my grandad to dementia this time last year, so it’s a meaningful cause, and this was a good fun way to raise awarness and vital funds, as we all like swimming!”

They exceeded their target by raising a fantastic £543.00, they each swam a mile which is around of 65 lengths of their local 25 metre swimming pool, Pyramids, in Exeter.

Kitsons also held a dress down day at all 3 of their offices, Torquay, Plymouth and Exeter, raising an extra £138.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day they find a cure, they will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, and donated.
