Kitsons Achieves Dementia Friendly Status

Kitsons is supporting the Alzheimer's Society Dementia Friends programme, which is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.

To further enhance the experience of clients when engaging with our legal services and as part of our corporate responsibility towards our employees, 93 Kitsons staff attended a Dementia Friends Information Session at Torquay, after our AGM. This was to hear Marjorie Creek one of our private client solicitors and a Registered Nurse (Adult) talk about the condition, its impact upon us all and how we can all facilitate a dementia friendly working environment.

By supporting the Alzheimer’s Society this week, Kitsons are very pleased to have helped the Dementia Friends initiative reach the milestone of 1.5 million Dementia Friends in England, Wales and Northern Ireland – which is an impressive achievement.

Kitsons are committed to achieving the Dementia Friendly status across all of its offices in Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth and becoming an active part of the Dementia Friendly community.
