Devon law firm trainees celebrate qualification

Two trainees at leading Devon law firm Kitsons have qualified as Solicitors following a two-year training programme.

Lauren Baber is celebrating after completing her training contract and securing a permanent position with the firm as a Solicitor in its Litigation department in Exeter. Lauren had previously completed her degree at the University of the West of England and worked as a paralegal before starting her training contract with Kitsons. Over the two years, Lauren has worked in various departments in the firm and Kitsons’ three office locations in Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth.

Alice Beck has also qualified and will now become a permanent member of Kitsons’ Family & Matrimonial department in the firm’s Plymouth office which offers services including divorce, nullity and separation and cohabitation and civil partnerships. Alice studied at Reading, University of East Anglia and Plymouth University before commencing her training with Kitsons.

Lauren Baber commented: “I have loved every minute of my training contract and I have learnt so much, the prospect of qualifying is really exciting and I’m looking forward to continuing my career at Kitsons after such a varied, enjoyable and challenging two years.”

Kitsons now has 18 Partners making the total number of staff 118 across offices in Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth.
