Our Autumn Seminar focuses on the practical and legal issues of workplace investigations. With the siginificant increase in employment tribunal claims, the quality of investigations is now more than ever going to be a crucial consideration.
We will teach you the practical behind the theory, dealing with common issues that arise during investigation such as:
- Conflicting evidence – how sure do you have to be of the facts to make a finding?
- Anonymity of witnesses
- How do you determine the scope and where to draw the line
Across the morning, we will build a case study with the team role playing the characters around a specific allegation against an employee.
The morning will involve an Employment Law update (there have been a number of key decisions that are worth sharing) as well as an interactive look at the case law around dismissals and the quality of investigations.
