Kitsons' Employment Practical Leadership Programmes

Kitsons Employment Team are pleased to announce a series of seminars aimed at those with HR Management responsibility in their organisation.

The seminars are scheduled to run across the course of the next six months, coverting all aspects of HR within the business. Spaces will be limited, with just 12 attendees for each workshop to allow maximum interaction and engagement.

Nominations are being sought from the community for Teignbridge District Council’s glittering Sports and Community Awards.

With 13 categories to choose from, including team and individual prizes, the deadline for nominations is midnight Friday 22 September. Those short-listed will then be invited to this year’s Sports Personality Awards, sponsored by Kitsons Solicitors, held on Friday 1 December at the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren.

Partner and Head of Private Client, Lynn Smith from Kitsons Solicitors in Torquay has defended lasting powers of attorney (LPA) after Denzil Lush, the former Senior Judge of the Court of Protection, warned they may leave elderly people open to abuse.

The Kitsons Devon Classic Bike Ride 2017 will be taking place on Sunday 9th July 2017, and registrations are now open!

The event offers something for cyclists of all ages and abilities, with three different routes of varying distance covering the beautiful Devon countryside.

Members of Exeter‘s legal community raised over £2,500 for the creation of a permanent cultural tribute to the buildings that perished in last year’s Cathedral Yard fire.

Property Search Group came up with the idea of bringing together Exeter’s law firms to raise money for the Historic Exeter Fire Appeal, by commissioning and auctioning a painting of a day in the life of Southernhay, traditionally the city’s legal hub.  The unique and quirky painting, created by Devon artist and illustrator Sara Nunan, features the city’s solicitors and barristers enjoying their hobbies and interests from surfing to singing and rugby to reading....

The Teignbridge Sports Personality of the Year Awards has become one of the largest events of its kind. It recognises and rewards a wide range of athletes, teams, volunteers, coaches and unsung heroes for their hard work and dedication to sport, health and physical activity in many local communities across the district.

Kitsons Devon Classic Bike Ride 2016

The Kitsons Devon Classic Bike Ride took place last weekend on Sunday 17th July, starting and finishing at Sandy Park in Exeter, the home of the high-flying Exeter Chiefs RFC.

The event was in aid of Hospiscare & Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education and included a choice of three distances: 100, 55 and 25 miles. 

A total of 15 Kitsons staff members participated n the ride and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 

A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported on the day! 

Rowcroft Hospice Sleep Walk 2016

Kitsons Solicitors were proud sponsors of this year's Rowcroft Hospice Sleep Walk 2016. 

More than 1,800 ladies aged ten and over took part in the choice of five or ten mile night walks on Saturday 9 July. The money raised from the Sleep Walk helps this fantastic charity which is committed to helping its patients make the most of every moment. 

It's always a pleasure to be a part of this great local charity and we are very pleased to hear that Rowcroft may exceed £1 million in donations this year. Well done to everyone involved.
