Kitsons go card-free in support of deserving local charities

29 January 2010 - Regional law firm, Kitsons has again made a contribution to several local charities in lieu of sending out traditional Christmas cards to its extensive client base. The firm has donated a very festive £1,000 for ditching its Christmas cards and is urging other local businesses to follow suit in Christmas 2010.

With regional offices spread across the county in Exeter, Torquay, Newton Abbot and Plymouth, Kitsons has supported charities at the heart of each of these areas.

Rowcroft Hospice has received £400 on behalf of the firm's Torquay and Newton Abbot offices, while the firm's Plymouth office has shown its' support with a cheque for £300 for CHICKS, a charity providing disadvantaged children with the life-enhancing experience of a free respite break away in Devon or Cornwall. Meanwhile, the Exeter office has donated £300 to Dream-A-Way, a charity offering trips and outings for disabled people of all ages throughout the South West of England.

Hannah Simmons from Rowcroft Hospice commented:

"We are delighted to have benefitted from Kitsons card-free Christmas scheme again this year. Rowcroft relies on the generosity of companies such as Kitsons to continue caring for those living with life-limiting illnesses and we are sincerely grateful for their unwavering support."

Speaking of the firm's commitments to deserving local causes, James Cross, Joint Managing Partner at Kitsons commented:

"Kitsons is delighted to be able to support three very deserving local charities in this way. They all provide fantastic care for people in need and fundraising and donations are vital to keep them operating to such a high standard. We hope many other local businesses will also enter into the true spirit of Christmas this year by starting their own schemes."
