Charity Sea Swim

In the cold waters of Teignmouth this September, a host of challenge-seeking individuals are attempting a one-mile sponsored swim for charity.  Kitsons' very own daredevils Sarah Martin, Rebecca Weare and her sister Lizzie Boast are throwing caution to the wind and have decided to enter a team.  The event is organised by Rowcroft Hospice, a charity that provides physical, emotional and social support to people with life-threatening illness, and has developed strong bonds with Kitsons over recent years.

The team have been training hard for the past month and have encountered numerous obstacles along the way, not to mention shoals of eels, icy temperatures and gale force winds.  Nevertheless they remain strong in the face of adversity and are confident that they will complete this mammoth task with true Kitsons gusto.   If you would like to monitor the ladies' progress you can read their diary on the JustGiving page, which details their harrowing training sessions and amusing stories.

Please support this gallant effort by accessing http://www.justgiving.com/sink-or-swim and sponsoring the team.  Remember every penny raised in sponsorship will go directly to caring for those who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses, and your contributions are vital in spurring the ladies on their way.  To experience this open water challenge in action, head to Teignmouth beach on Sunday 12 September, and support Kitsons, the Rowcroft Hospice and all those in their care.
