Partner

Robert is a partner in the Litigation team dealing with all aspects of litigation but particularly alcohol and entertainment licensing, motoring and road traffic cases, and regulatory law. He appears regularly in courts throughout Devon to defend as well as to prosecute. He is Assistant Deputy Coroner for South Devon and has a particular interest in Inquests and Coronial law.

He deals regularly with all types of licensing applications to local authority committees as well as Reviews and appeals before magistrates courts. He is licensing adviser to the Council of the Isles of Scilly and a member of the Regional Council of the B.I.I.  He lectures regularly on licensing topics to solicitors and licensed trade audiences in Devon and Cornwall.

He is rated as “excellent” by Chambers and Partners Legal Directory, while according to the Legal 500 he is “efficient” and  “always on hand to find the right solutions”
